My Confessions...

I know this may make me a bad mom. And people may think that I don't deserve to be a mom after this. But I gotta let it known.  I sometimes think about what would have happened if I hadn't had kids.

I love them, don't get me wrong. I woudn't change them for the world.

But I wonder... If I'd not had Cat I might have completed my bachelor's degree in International Marketing, and I might be zooming around the world in Manolo Blahniks, and talking with CEO's and COO's and people of awesome magnitudes of power.

But I didn't I had Cat. And now I have Baby Boy, and I LOVE them BOTH! I love them so much that when I'm at work and see a Johnson & Johnson commercial I wish I were holding them and smelling their awkward toddler baby smells.

And for some reason hearing Cat say, "Momma hode you! nite nite" is soo much better than talking to CEOs, COOs and people of magnitudes.  And watching Baby Boy, watch Cat running in circles, is better than owning hordes of Manolo Blahniks.

These confessions were brought to you by Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop.

  1. It's natural to wonder about the road not taken. Wondering isn't wanting. No crime committed. And any mom who says she's never wondered is not being honest.

    Very well written.

  2. Perfectly legitimate day dreaming and one I suspect every mom has now and again. I loved your MB shoes line line as it made me chuckle and think... she can still rock those shoes if she wants. :-)
Your kids are adorable and I loved your post.
